Megan Robinson is a Wicklow based artist working in painting and moving image. Megan graduated with First Class Honours from IADT in 2017 and has since exhibited and had screenings in Pallas Projects/Studios (2017), Mermaid Arts Centre (2018), Centre d’Art Spacejunk, Lyon (2018), MExIndex/Dingle International Film Festival (2019), Czong Institute of Contemporary Art, South Korea (2019) and Still Voices Film Festival (2020).
Megan is interested in exploring imagined spaces to create an unusual relationship between two forces. In her 2018 film Cracks, a woman paints over the destruction that surrounds her. The visceral qualities and materiality of the paint creates an intimate moment between the woman and a place she inhabits.
